Hi I am Smita, companion in your wellness journey. I am a certified Weight Management Consultant and Yoga trainer. Before completing weight management certification, I have studied Bachelor’s in Homoeopathy and Masters in Public Health (Flinders University). With background in health and medicine, I understand role and importance of “prevention” in lifestyle related diseases or noncommunicable diseases. Unhealthy diet, stress and lack of physical activity are at root for many noncommunicable diseases.

Having been on a weight loss journey myself, with a diagnosis of hypothyroidism, I understand the physical, mental, emotional and social struggle associated with weight gain. I know that health and wellness is a multidimensional entity and besides unhealthy eating habits and physical inactivity, there are multiple factors that contribute to ill health. Therefore, rather than a generalized solution, a holistic and customized solution is needed to produce sustainable results. I believe in ‘bottom-up’ approach in promoting good health. I am committed to provide a wellness plan that is tailored to your goals, your health and lifestyle needs. My aim is to empower and educate my clients so that they are capable of taking informed decisions and making healthy lifestyle choices.
